Last Minute Halloween Costumes Made From Junk

In celebration of Halloween I have found some innovative last minute fashionable Halloween costumes for those of you still in need of a costume. The best part about it is that you can make these yourself with regular household items.

Umbrella Bat

Make an umbrella bat costume out of an old umbrella. For step-by-step instructions on how to make it go to the Evil Mad Scientist website. Perhaps it’s a little cheesy, but at least it’s environmentally friendly. If you don’t like the bat, use your imagination and make something else. (Pics)

Hacked Up Teddy

I picture this costume, best on the reluctant adult that doesn’t want to go trick or treating with the kids. Since he must, he might as well disguise himself with this Furry Nightmare Vest. It appears the vest is made of recycled stuffed animal. If you have old stuffed animals you really don’t like or want anymore you can always cut him up and turn him into a vest, just don’t let your impressionable little kids see you doing it.

Recycled Warrier

Kosuke Tsumura made this costume armor out of PET soda bottles for the world’s largest cola cartel. How? She sliced up bottles and sewed the pieces together with transparent nylon thread. It’s the kind of costume you can wear over and over because it won’t ever biodegrade. Gather up some plastic bottles and some nylon and you can make a warrior out of someone.

Macho Man Wearing Dolls

Want to look macho, capable and sensitive all at the same time? How about wearing a costume that shows how much you love babies and how many you can carry all at once? Sure it looks crazy, but that’s what makes it so great. Or you can look at Mr. Toledano’s other images and see if that sparks any costume ideas. The business man with the gasoline tank and match is kind of creepy.
